At one point i skip through a track with winamp creating a choppy sound. When the cd player stops you can hear the base computer noise.

Created by cranking a filter to max resonance, adding distortion, then slowly sweeping the frequency control on a bit crusher.

I use a screenreader, nvda. I decided to set it to the eti eloquence speech synthesizer and put the voice on the french voice. I then set the inflection to 50 and typed the letters "r" and "h" over and over to make it sound funny when it tries to read it. The first part is the normal voice, the second part i applied ring modulation with lots of lfo effect.

I typed quite slow in the beginning if you need to edit out and synch with your footage, if you just want typing sound in the background i think the best is in the end of the clip. The mouse clicking comes later in the clip. I've mixed it a bit but might need more mixing. Glitchy robot scream, made for a game with robot enemies. I made it by using audacity's "import raw data" function to import random program files which creates all kinds of crazy noises. (all the sounds in this pack came from the files of an emulated ps2 game. ) i then put a vocoder on the sounds i found to make them sound even more robotic.

Sound fx for old computer made with roland mt-32 sounds [cc zero].

Lighter sounds captured for the mct - physical computing subject. It was capture with a small speaker as the input, capturing the sound of an empty lighter. The small speaker was plugged by alligator clamps in a 9v battery. After that i've processed the sounds a bit with a pinch of reverb, delay and some compression.

Typing (real words!) on a kinesis advantage keyboard with cherry mx brown mechanical switches. Recorded at my desk with rode procaster, triton fethead, focusrite scarlett 2i2 into audacity. Untreated room (hence dynamic mic) but noise remoived with audacity. I needed this for my own purposes so i thought i'd upload it. I hope someone finds it useful :).
